The Irish Coast Collection

The great poverty of Ireland during the 18th century prevented county carpenters from purchasing building materials, so they began to salvage timber from the bogs in "County Denegal" to Youghal in "County Cork", where it is said "Sir Walter Raleigh" sowed Ireland's first potato plant.

The use of this flotsam material created a jigsaw type of construction, which was an art form in itself, and is now authentically recreated in each piece of the "Irish Coast" collection of furniture uniquely manufactured using only reclaimed and recycled solid wood, which has been renovated and billet repaired where necessary. Each piece is bench built and hand finished to provide a totally genuine rustic charm.
